Silence

Lesley Cheney Parr I chose this work to honor the Bull Run Pump House, where the water flowed and life bubbled for so many years. My painting, "Silence", is appropriately done with watercolor paint on an open surfaced rice paper on watercolor paper. There is less control with this working method but it equals the lack of control we seem to possess despite our best efforts.

Morning light streams in as if in a cathedral while the turbines rest reverentially in their silent space.
